All new technology using Barco digital projectors outfitted with Dolby 3D, Digital Cinema replaces the use of film. Now instead it uses a digital file, like that of a DVD but on a hard drive. This file is stored on what is called a Show Store. From the Show Store it is sent to a Show Player. This is where the file is taken from a file to an actual picture that is sent to the digital projector. The projectors then project the movie onto the screen using TIs DLP technology for a crisper picture.

For a regular 3D film movie disposable glasses were used, not anymore. For now with the Dolby 3D system reusable glasses are required. These 3D glasses will be handed out and are required to be returned after the movie is over.
